The Wild Mushroom is a sophisticated and charming boutique accommodation with a mix of modern and old-world charm. With only 6 guest suites, everyone can receive the personalized attention they deserve. You are encouraged to make yourself at home at The Wild Mushroom, which isn’t difficult to do. Guest suites are spacious, warm and inviting, all distinctively different but just as beautiful as the next. Each suite has king-size beds, en-suite bathrooms, heated towel racks, heating/air conditioning unit, flat screen televisions, DSTV, WIFi and under-floor-heating. Some suites have Juliette terraces and the poolside suite has its very own private patio. The Wild Mushroom offers its guests all the comforts of home. Breakfast is included in your stay and is offered in the main dining room. As you arrive at the dining room, you will notice that the tables are set for the number of guests staying at the hotel. Your breakfast is made at the time that you order it. Everything comes out hot and fresh. If you have a special request, the staff will try to accommodate it if they have it in the kitchen.
The outside of The Wild Mushroom is just as lovely as the inside. The pool area is clean and inviting. The gardens are pristine with visual art sculptures by a local South African artist, Strijdom van der Merwe. There are several outdoor terrace areas with lounge furniture, ideal for early morning coffee and a paper or for watching the sunset over the mountains. Whichever you prefer, you’re sure to appreciate being able to do it in such an elegant setting.
Marc and Joey, along with the rest of the staff, are most helpful in making sure you receive all that you want and need. Nothing is too much for them, as they will do everything within reason, to accommodate your requests. If it is dining reservations you need, they will make them for you along with recommendations of where to dine. If you have a day or two with no plans, you’ll enjoy simply relaxing and being pampered at The Wild Mushroom.
